  Cara has worked in Youth and Community roles for decades and is a graduated from The University of South Wales with a First Class BA(Hons) degree in Creative and Therapeutic Arts.

Cara is a Socially Engaged Artist, based in the South Wales Valleys, practicing arts in many forms and disciplines as you will see from the selected featured projects and galleries of this website.

Some of Cara's freelance roles include:

•  Community Artist, Participatory Arts Facilitator and Skills Tutor (Chubby Sheep Studio      ) Working with individuals, groups, education and health care providers, charities, and organisations, using art methods to relieve mental health and wellbeing. 

• Artist – Primarily in sculpture, illustration, and textiles, though other disciplines are often explored.  

• Face and Body Artist (Phat Faces      ) Painting people at parties, events, and festivals. 

In her own multi-media arts practice Cara draws on many inspirations, often from the natural world, people and mental health, and fantasy, frequently finding an interrelation between her disciplines.
